A. Michelsen Christmas Fork 1964 Gilded Sterling Silver with Enamel

Anton Michelsen Christmas Fork 1964 Gilded Sterling Silver with Enamel Inger Hanmann has chosen the constellation Orion as this year's motif. The ancient Greeks, like this year's artist, clearly saw in the distribution of the stars in the sky, the hunter with hounds pursuing the multitude of small stars. The image is rendered with golden stars on a deep blue background.
