Abstract Composition. Scandinavian artist. Oil on board. Image size: 69 × 48.5 cm Frame: 56 × 76 cm Period: Mid-20th century Condition: Good condition with age-related traces. This expressive work emerges as a striking manifestation of the post-war Scandinavian modernist idiom, in which spontaneous brushstrokes, fluid contours, and contrasting chromatic fields generate a visual dynamism that simultaneously suggests an inner psychological intensity and a conscious emancipation from naturalistic tradition. The dripping black lines accentuate the dramatic tenor of the composition, underscoring its dual character as both improvisational gesture and carefully considered artistic statement.
