Bio: Abstract landscape painting developed significantly during the 1950s and 1960s, when many artists sought to distil natural forms into rhythmic colour fields and expressive brushwork. Influenced by both modernism and lyrical abstraction, landscapes were increasingly interpreted through atmosphere, structure, and light rather than literal representation, resulting in works of enduring visual and emotional appeal.
