Embroidery on silk, approx. 1820, portrait of a young woman. With pearl necklace and roses at the chest. With the text: La Resolue (French - the decisive one, the one who makes the decisions). 18 x 12.5 cm. Framed in a Danish gilded empire frame. NB: Really perfect and excellent work. These embroideries were very popular during the period. Presumably French work - however, can also be prepared in Denmark according to French recipes.
