He joined Rörstrand in 1939 and became one of the companys most influential designers during the post-war era. Stålhane is renowned for his refined forms, subtle glazes and artistic stoneware creations, which are regarded among the finest achievements of twentieth-century Swedish ceramics and remain highly sought after by collectors today.
