Chamois Very rare glass cooler / monteith

Royal Copenhagen Chamois Fond, very rare Monteith. A Monteith is a large glass cooler used for coming down the glasses used for dessert wines. Ice cubes are put into the bowl, and the glasses are put in upside down. The glasses are then all cooled down, and the dessert wine can be served in the correct temperature. Some also use this for holding egg cups and serving egg in. There are room for 16 glasses or 16 egg cups. Decoration number 788/1569. The factory mark shows, that this was made between 1928 and 1935. Factory first. Length 30.5 cm., width 24.0 cm., height 12.0 cm. Perfect condition.
