Höganäs. Small unique ceramic vase. Glaze in violet tones. Approx. 1970/80s Marked. Perfect condition. Dimensions: H 8.5 cm x D 5.0 cm. Höganäs Keramik was founded in 1909 by Sigfrid Johansson and Karl Andersson, originally named Andersson & Johansson’s Pottery Factory. The company exhibited at the Baltic Exhibition in Malmö in 1914. In 1926, they transitioned entirely to stoneware, and in 1948 the factory became a limited company. The iconic Old Höganäs series was introduced at the 1955 H55 exhibition in Helsingborg, inspired by traditional salt-glazed utilitarian ware. The official name Höganäs Keramik was adopted in 1967. Factory operations continued until 2008, when production moved abroad.
