It was the first place in Europe to successfully produce hard-paste porcelain, previously known only from China. The factory became famous for its detailed, hand-painted decorations and Rococo-style figurines. The Meissen mark—two crossed swords—is one of the world’s oldest trademarks and a symbol of high quality and craftsmanship. The factory still operates today, producing exclusive porcelain in both classic and modern designs.
