Blue Fluted Flower pot from 1780-1807

Description

Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted with Festoon pattern, flower pot for single flowers. Royal Copenhagen produced variations of the Bluie Fluted pattern. Here with Festoon that was produced between 1780 and 1807. In the very early production period Royal Copenhagen had many problems with the firing process, so almost all pieces had very large firing cracks. But in the very beginning these items were sold anyway. The painter mark on this belongs to Blue Painter Friderich Gregorius Schultz, who was working at Royal Copenhagen from 1780 until 1837. This is most likely from the very first period of production, and it is therefore a bit more than 200 years old. Factory first. Height 13.7 cm., the top measures 13.3 by 13.3 cm. There are large firing cracks at top and also two minor cracks at the top next to the holes for flowers and also a small chip at base. Otherwise perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
