Per Linnemann-Schmidt (1912–1999), trained as an architect, made a significant mark on Danish ceramic design in the postwar period with his emphasis on function, proportion, and the tactile qualities of glaze. Today, Palshus is recognized as one of the key names in Danish studio ceramics.
