Stoneware with turquoise glaze and inlaid silver decorations, exterior featuring hand-incised female figure and stylised branch motif. Elegant scroll handles in classic Art Deco style. Origin: Sweden, Gustavsberg. Material: Stoneware with silver inlay. Dimensions: H. 10 cm, D. 28 cm. Period: 1940s. Condition: Very good condition with minor signs of use. Marked “Argenta” and Gustavsberg. Bio: Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) served as head designer at Gustavsberg from 1917 and was a major figure in Swedish ceramic modernism. His Argenta series, introduced in the 1930s, combines cool glazes with refined silver inlays and is regarded as a masterpiece of Scandinavian Art Deco.
