Art Deco stoneware lidded jar with turquoise glaze and inlaid silver decoration, organically shaped body and sculptural raised lid with botanical relief motif and figurative finial. Condition: Excellent condition with light signs of wear. Bio: Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) was head designer at Gustavsberg from 1917 and a central figure in Swedish Art Deco. The Argenta series, introduced in the 1930s, combines cool turquoise glazes with silver inlays and is regarded as an icon of Nordic ceramic design.
